Configuring required local devices

keyboard layout	This is the keyboard layout used in the text consoles as well as graphical applications. Quick start hint: select the one that matches your hardware or leave the default.
mouse device	This is the device your mouse is actually connected. Quick start hint: select the one that matches your hardware, usually the default /dev/mouse will work.
mouse protocol	This is the mouse protocol used by your hardware Quick start hint: leave the default PS/2 usually will work, but is hardware dependent.
network card	Select the network card that really matches your hardware configuration Quick start hint: no hint

Select the local devices that match your hardware configuration as close as possible.
You can include support of additional hardware later if your hardware is not correctly supported.
